Giovanni Altamura graduated from the University of Southern California in 2007 with a degree in Planning and Development with an emphasis in Residential Real Estate.
Giovanni has been fortunate to attend all the public schools in Manhattan Beach, from Pacific Elementary, Manhattan Beach Intermediate to Mira Costa High School. In addition to being a strong believer in playing sports due to the essential values it brings out in a person, I believe the single most important factor in our home prices, is the school system.
Gio was the captain of the National Champion Boy’s volleyball team at Mira Costa in 2001 and C.I.F. Champion in 2002.
At USC, I was a four-year letterman and captain of the men’s volleyball team from 2004-2007. Being the captain of those teams taught me the dedication, leadership, and communication skills that I have continued to use in my business life in real estate.
Being a lifelong resident of Manhattan Beach, I have grown to appreciate the lifestyle this community presents. My father, John Altamura has been in Real Estate since 1987 and seeing the enjoyment it brought him over the years re-affirmed my desire to follow in his footsteps.
Since starting my Real Estate career in 2007, I have been fortunate enough to see the market in all of its stages, from the peak in 2007 to the bottom in 2008-09. I understand what “real value” is in today’s market. I look forward to using that experience and knowledge for my future business.
Gio has been one of the top producing agents in the South Bay over the last seven years, selling on average of $30M-$40M per year. Gio belongs to an exclusive networking group comprised of other top agents in the area. This gives his clients an edge with various opinions about real estate, analyzing market conditions, forecasting future markets and years of added expertise not found amongst his peers.
Gio also is involved in the residential development side, bringing added on value when it comes to helping clients understand building codes, differences in materials and other details not found online.
Gio and his wife Elise were married in May of 2019, have two daughters, Alessandra (3), Isabella (2) and are expecting their third girl in August, 2024. Being a father is Gio’s greatest accomplishment to date. He attributes the skills and life lessons of being a father to real estate with respect to sense of patience, navigating stressful times and thinking of solutions when problems arise. Gio belongs to Bel Air Country Club and enjoys golfing when he’s not working or with his family.
